These team really knows how to look good together. Kirsten successfully piloted Jona to placings in their performance classes at their first show together June 18, 2011. The North Country Circuit show in Newbrook, Alberta. Congratulations Kirsten on such success with your young kid and may you have many more!

Kirsten is continuing Jona's training herself (with the help of her mom) at home this spring and summer.  We look forward to many new updates on this cute duo and are real excited about showing together with this new team in the new year

PRR Famous For Roses 2008 Bay tobiano filly sired by Gentlemen Send Roses and out of Like Her Fame, Owned by Nicola Young. Nicky and Julie are having a great time together at Desiree's performance horses in Rimbey, Alberta. Nicky is thrilled with Julies progress and is  looking forward to spending lots of time together with her this year. We are glad you found a good match & know under Des's guidance you'll have a ton of fun and lots of showring successes in 2011! Enjoy the ride....

Nicky & Julie have already starting chaulking up their show pen successes. At the Olds Paint show, June 11, 2011 they began with earning some halter points in Amatuer mares. This little mare has alot of showpen presence and we are pretty excited to see them under saddle in the future. Stay tuned for updates on this neat team!

July & August saw Nicky & Julie in hunter under saddle, showmanship and halter at the Drayton Color Classic and Zone 10 show in Calgary. Nicky and Des are doing an incredible job getting this gal headed in the right direction. Dedicating the 3 P's to success - patience, persistance and perserverence! We are so impressed with your progress Nicky!

Congratulations to 14 year old Angela Speer of Edmonton and PRR Special Someday, 2010 Black tobiano filly sired by Somedays Sam I Am. Angela earned APHA points at her first breed show and won the tobiano color class. We are realy proud of this young girl - she showed, trained and prepared her filly all on her own. She competed in halter,  tobiano color, showmanship, in hand trail and lungeline classes with her filly. She had her filly spiffed up and fitted just right. This is the first of the Sam babies to see the show pen and we couldn't be more pleased with Angela's patience and efforts with this adorable young filly!

Congratulations to Kate Breese and Iza Lil Jazz for representing Team Paint at the Telus Battle of the Breeds at Spruce Meadows in Sept. Kate had alot of fun competing in the event and Cash got to take a break from the ever demanding sport of Goat Tying at the College Rodeos this fall. Way to go Kate - nice to see you having a great time with our old friend Cash and teaching him lots of new tricks!!

Congratulations to Elana Yule, PRR Shez Got Class and their 2010 Show Ring Successes.

From Elana: Another year has come and gone and it proved to be as exciting as I had hoped. 2010 definitely started off on the right hoof with Gracie going Grand at Newbrook, our first show of the season. Then it was off to Olds in June to make our debut in APHA competition where Gracie picked up her first APHA point in the Tobiano Color class.  We also entered the Halter and Showmanship and although we didn't place, we had fun testing the waters and look forward to more Paint shows down the road. The rest of the summer was crammed full of open shows where Gracie placed 1st in all but one of her Halter classes in her age division! The highlight of the season was the Canadian Pinto Nationals (Olds) in mid-August. As expected I had a great time showing with you and the rest of the PRR crew. When the dust settled here's how Gracie and I did:

National Champion - Get of Sire (CT Gallantly) with her brother Jona
Reserve National Champion - Produce of Dam again with Jona
Reserve Alberta Champion - Produce of Dam with her brother Jona
3rd - CA Pinto Tobiano Color (24 Entries)
3rd - AB Get of Sire (CT Gallantly) with her brother Jona
3rd - CA Pinto Mares 3 & 4 Years
4th - AB Pinto Mares 3 & 4 Years
6th - Open Tobiano Color

The rest of the PRR horses did great as well taking home many red ribbons!!! It was a great way to wrap up the season. With all her successes Gracie is now just 1 credit shy of earning her Certificate of Achievement in PAC Halter. Guess we should have hit one more show. There's always next year..

This year was an exciting one outside of the show pen as well. Although we got off to a late start, Gracie's under saddle training is now in full swing. Gracie is an absolute joy to work with and has yet to put a hoof wrong. With her incredibly quiet
disposition and willing attitude it's quite easy to forget she's only 3. After having my nerves rattled by my last show horse, Gracie continues to build my confidence on a daily basis, and I look forward to adding the under saddle classes to our show repertoire in 2011. Watch for her little sister Khloe to make her debut in the pen as well.

Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to own such amazing horses. You are the first place I send folks when I hear they're looking. Happy trails!

Congratulations to Jordan Sheets and Emily Fisher showing one of our broodmares - Mea Whiskeys Image at
the 2008 North Country Circuit shows. Emily won walk/trot classes and Jordan placed exceptionally well in some
large & tough 13 & Under classes. Thanks girls for taking such great care of this great ol' show girl and giving her
an opportunity to "shine again" in the show pen!
