About Us

We continually endeavour to improve the: quality, bloodlines, conformation, ability, versatility, dispositions and temperaments
of our horses.

We like to see successful, proven, accomplished and well known bloodlines close up in the pedigrees of our prospects. Many prominent names appear on the face of our horses registration papers.

We know from practical experience, that registration papers and bloodlines alone don't dictate the value or worth of a horse. Bloodlines do help us to understand the backgrounds and potential ability of each prospect.

You will find that many of our mares carry famous western pleasure bloodlines. We have found these lines to be easy going, quick to learn, willing, honest and versatile. That shouldn't limit prospects to western pleasure or rail classes just because that is what their breeding dictates. We have found many of these pleasure bred horses to excel at cattle and speed events as well.

We have learned alot from our World Champion Paint Horse and the folks that are now his family. (Please see "WORLD CHAMPION" page - Ima Dancin Fantasy - a.k.a. "Smokey's story"). He was sired by a pleasure/halter horse. His dam was also a pleasure/halter/all-around horse. Not specializing in any specific event - just good all-around, versatile horses. "Smokey" had no "race or speed blood" in his pedigree for almost 6 generations. Yet he has captured 5 world and reserve titles in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending with two different owners. (Novice & Youth with no "professional" outside training). All this after enduring risky, excruciating leg surgery and a grueling recovery schedule

We have learned that MORE IMPORTANTLY THAN PEDIGREES AND BLOODLINES - IS PERSEVERANCE, DETERMINATION AND HEART!

It may sound corny & a little philosophical - some of these qualities do definitely come from genetics, but we believe heart is something that breeders, trainers and owners earn over time - once they have proven to the horse to be trustworthy, accepted and respected. Only till you have obtained that trust & respect will you be able to culture and uncover your horses true abilities and talents - which any horse possesses regardless of their bloodline.

At right is a photo of one of the many experiences our horses are exposed to. You can see the broodmare 'Ms Hollys Fancy Gem' with foal at foot - is being used for a Therapeutic Riding horse - our mares need to be very quiet, gentle & well trained.

Our mares (See more pedigrees and photos on the "MARES PAGE") carry such QH & APHA names as: Dynamic Deluxe,
Three Dimension Zip, Zippos Pine Bar, Scotch Bar Time, CC Mr Goodbar, Zippos Ole Gold, The Claim To Fame, Whiskey Gold, Zippos Mr. Goodbar, One Hot Krymsun, Sulllivans Heathen, Paint Me Zippo, TNT Fluid Fred, Dirty Rocki, Only Krymsum, Classical Pizzazz, and Gentlemen Send Roses.

We have three stallions - two homozygous paint stallions (see more photos & pedigree info. on "STALLION PAGE"). The homozygous sorrel tobiano stallion CT Gallantly carries the bloodlines of Gallant Ghost, Class Time & Target Class. Our double homozygous (Black & Tobiano) "Somedays Sam I Am" - carries the bloodlines of Sonny Amigo Bar & CR Black Buttons.

The third Stallion is a two year old, red roan sabino son of Jester Heathen X Sullivans Heathen and out of Holly Gold Bar by
CC Mr. Goodbar X Zippos Mr. Goodbar.  He is a huge colt - 15.1 hh as a two year old and will be OLWS tested. All three
stallions have been nominated to APHA Breeeders Trust program for the 2010 breeding year

The focus of our breeding and training program is to produce affordable, quality, colorful, recreation & show paint horses the whole family can enjoy.

Because of our different backgrounds - often the arena and show horses get hauled to the mountains, exposed to ranch work and put to work on hunting expeditions. Likewise, the ranch and recreation horses are quality enough to be competitive in both open and breed show arenas. Our horses need to be just as confident in a competitive show arena as they are outside along roads, highways, mountain ledges, crossing rivers or moving cattle.

We like our horse to be versatile and confident enough so buyers may easily take them any direction they want.

The more experiences we expose our youngsters to - the more opportunity they will have to be chosen to fill the many roles and tasks appreciated by today's multi-disciplined horse enthusiast.

No prospect gets drafted into a particular discipline until they have had an opportunity to prove what they may excel at and enjoy doing. We raise a few cattle and like to expose prospects to them - sometimes we find hidden talents we never expected.

Rarely do any of our horses become specialized in any one event at an early age. Each prospect get a slow, steady start with a variety of exposures and experiences. This often is the start of a good foundation that anyone can easily build on to and "customize" or "finish" their horse in their discipline of choice - usually by the time the horse is four or five years old. Whether they are able to finish - or choose to send the horse for "specialized" training - is entirely their decision.

Like most training programs - we use "natural" or "typical" horsemanship methods and design programs to fit the horse. We do not dictate the speed of training progress - the horse does.

Our main focus and interest is on training our own "home grown" prospects.

We always have registered weanlings, yearlings and two year olds
for sale - most are APHA Breeders Trust nominated or eligible.

Our two year olds are "lightly" started in the summer or fall of
their two year old year and begin more advanced training in the
spring of their three year old year. We are finding many of our
two year olds sell quickly once they get started under saddle.

It is in the spring of their three year old year that prospects
begin  to demonstrate their abilities as; open or breed show
prospects,  speed event horses, recreation or mountain
horses, cattle horses or sometimes all of the above! Their
listed sale prices are  indicative of their experience, training,
talents and abilities.

We strive to have a good selection of quality horses started under saddle at various stages of training for your consideration.  If you don't see something that interests you on our "Horses For Sale" page, be sure to check out "Show Horses" or the "Mares" pages. Some of them may be listed for sale as well. Of course - if you see something you like that isn't priced to sell - please don't hesitate to inquire if you're interested. We are always negotiable.

We encourage buyers to come
see or "test ride" (performance
evaluate) the horse in person - if
the horse is started under saddle.
This is not only helpful to you -
but also to us - as we like to do
our best to match riders experiences and confidences
with the horses we are selling.
Please see more of our purchase recommendations on "Horses For Sale" page.

We are able to provide accommodation here at the Ranch and have an indoor arena for the often "in-clement" Canadian weather year-round. We also have cattle, roads, pastures and trails to "evaluate" your potential purchase.

If seeing or riding the horse in person is not a possibility, then we'd be more than happy to provide you with photos or video footage. We have many past buyers that have successfully found their "perfect dream horse" sight un-seen this way. Please see "Horses Sold and Testimonials" page.
